Kingston… not Jamaica
July 9th, 2009 | Leave a commentThese were taken on a recent jaunt to Kingston with P.Earth. They were to be the last photos I took with this camera before idiotically leaving it behind at the venue… the source of much panic until it was safely returned a week later by the caring staff at Banquet Records.

I have been working with the band on various projects since January (check out the album artwork on their site) and – having never previously journeyed to the much hallowed festival site – accepted the offer to join the wellington party.
Here’s a short series of shots which I think work nicely together (Tom Fiddle unfortunately not included… but not forgotten)

Hola!
July 4th, 2009 | Leave a commentHello, hello, hello. What comes next is a mystery. I guess what I’m trying to achieve here is a semblance of order. Several years of snaps and I’ve barely presented my photos beyond Facebook. Partly this is therapeutic – a slow release of photographic tension.
So anyway, I bought a negative scanner with a view to transforming my folder of negatives into a glistening web site. This is a tediously slow process with little in the way of short term thrills. To excite myself the initial plan is to post a few photos as I rediscover them in their new found digital glory.
To start the proceedings, a walk through the woods on the Isle of Skye during a Manchester Uni Photographic Society outing (2007)…

Fellow P.Earthling Nick fancies a bit of smoked mackerel from the isle’s bountiful waters (we ate well that evening)

This chap accompanied us on a boat journey to Skye’s incredible Black Cuillin
